Electrolysis

Electrolysis is a method of removing hairs from body.Electrolysis device destroy the growth center of the hair with chemical or heat energy. After a fine probe is inserted into the follicle, the hair removed with tweezers. Most areas of body can be treated with electrolysis including the eyebrows, face, abdomen, thighs, breast and legs. There are generally no side effect ,but sometimes a temporary redness is seen on the treatment area.

Is Electrolysis Hair Removal is the Right Treatment for me?

Many different hair and skin types can benefit because it does not target hair pigment (color) like laser, but attacks the follicle itself. People in Ludhiana that are not good candidates for laser can still get electrolysis. However, bear in mind that multiple treatments are needed. You have to truly be committed to electrolysis because you will need anywhere from 15-30 sessions in Ludhiana, which will take up a considerable amount of your time.

Methods

Three modalities are used Galvanic, thermolysis, and blend.

Galvanic Method

The galvanic method of electrolysis hair removal involves applying a direct electrical current to the root of the hair.   The practitioner does this by placing a very thin needle inside the follicle of the hair and applying a short burst of electrical current.

The electrical current stimulates a reaction in the salt water solution found at the root of the follicle that causes a decomposition of the hair growing follicles.

Electrolysis involves treating each hair individually, which is why the process is usually time consuming especially for larger treatment areas with a dense amount of hair.

With an 80 percent success rate (80% of the hairs treated through this method are killed), galvanic electrolysis is one of the most effective forms of hair removal available today and one of the few methods that have been approved as "permanent" by the FDA.

Thermolysis

Also referred to as diathermy, radio wave, short wave, or high frequency, the process is similar to Galvanic Electrolysis in that a needle is also inserted into the base of the hair follicle.  Alternating current is then applied to the base of the hair follicle thus causing the cells to heat up to the point of permanent cell destruction

The main limitation of thermolysis is that it's not suitable for all types of hair as it is mainly suited for shallow rooted hairs.  Typically it provides a 10 - 15% success rate for killing hair follicles against the 80% success rate of galvanic electrolysis.

Blend method

The galvanic method and thermolysis are often combined in the blend method.

Will electrolysis work for me?

Electrolysis is effective for all skin types, hair types, skin colors, hair colors, and areas of the body.

Does Electrolysis Hurt?

No

Results

Electrolysis is considered a permanent hair removal method, since it destroys the hair follicle. It requires a series of appointments over a period of time.
